Web designers come from quite varied backgrounds - some from the technical side, some from marketing and some from graphic design. I am one of the very technical ones, but started doing websites because I wanted to do something more creative.
After teaching maths in a secondary school for a few years, I obtained an MSc in Information Technology and embarked on a career in the software industry, specialising in technical support. I started working part-time after the birth of my first son, but once I had two children, I started to look for a more flexible career.. and this somehow led me to website design.
Many years on, and the business is thriving. My children are now much older and so I can work longer hours, but I still work from home, meaning that as well as having a great quality of life, I am able to create websites at very competitive prices as I have no overheads.
Although
I work alone, I have strong links with other freelance professionals,
including graphic designers, internet specialists
and software
support technicians... so there's plenty of backup.
Please have a look at the work I've done and the testimonials people have written. If you think I might be able to help you, just call me anytime on

I also work as a freelance database consultant, specialising in medical data systems created using Microsoft Access and Excel. If you need consultancy in this area, please contact me.
